Lisa Werner has over 11 years of volunteer leadership experience on non
profit Boards. She is an expert at increasing membership. During her year as President of the Junior League of Morristown, New Jersey,new members increased 25%, membership meeting attendance increased 30% and total membership retention rates increased by 10% after several years of declining rates. She has directed over 500 volunteers, raised more than $250,000 as a fundraiser, and designed dozens of training programs for volunteers.
Lisa has been recognized by the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly
for her volunteer service and leadership skills. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Jersey Battered Women's Service as Fundraising Chair, and as President of the Morris Plains Home and School Association Executive Board. Lisa is also a member of the Women's Leadership Initiative in Morris County. In addition to training and consulting to non profit organizations, her professional background has included product development, marketing and project management.
Her interest in volunteer leadership and management focuses on empowering and motivating volunteers as the optimum approach for achieving organizational goals. Her experiences using the To Lead Is To Serve philosophy, both as a volunteer leader and later as a consultant have reinforced the belief that any organization can benefit from it's principles.
