Fundraising for Startups

Your job is not to get people to give money to you.
Your job is to make it possible for THEM to succeed.

Startup Mentoring

This program is for founders of startups:

  • Who believe that “to lead is to serve.”
  • Who are willing to feel JOYFUL while they attract the funds that they need.

I have been helping people raise money for over 30 years.  I could help you, too.

If you have the prerequisites and are accepted into my “Joy of Leadership Startup Fundraising Program,” you will learn to convey the value and uniqueness of your startup in a way that people will be happy to invest in you.

Simon Sinek said, “Success doesn’t come to the smartest people.  It comes to the best communicators.”

This is true for startup funding as well.  The money doesn’t go to the smartest founders, it goes to those who do the best job of communicating their story.

I can help you attract funding.   (See more.)

Leadership Training
with a twist of yoga

Do you believe that “to lead is to serve?”  If so, we (at Joy of Leadership) would like to help you achieve your goals.

Our method is unique because we combine leadership training with yoga that you can do at your desk. One small shift (in leadership and in yoga) can result in a huge impact, expand your influence, and leave a permanent change for the better.

For your brain: You will gain knowledge about human behavior that will make people want to say YES and cooperate with you.

For your heart: Original success stories that will inspire and uplift you. (Then we help you apply what you’ve learned to your specific situation.)

For your body: No yoga mats required. Easy yoga and breathing exercises that you can do at your desk. It will immediately improve your vitality.

It will be hard to find another leadership program that is this effective.

About Your Mentor

Shar McBee, CEO, is the owner and creator of experimental, groundbreaking, cutting-edge fundraising and leadership development programs.

Shar had never received leadership training when she was suddenly put in charge of managing 500 people. At the same time, she had to raise money to pay for the program.

It was hard. Very challenging. Shar spent many sleepless nights. Then a wise mentor taught her a secret that made it easy to get people to say YES.  In this program, Shar will teach the secret to you.

Professionally, when Shar was at the peak of her career as a broadcast journalist, she was offered her own television show plus a column in the New York Times Syndicate. It was going to go to 212 newspapers.

Instead, she went to a village in India and became a dishwasher in an ashram. It was a bold move.  But she learned yoga and meditation, which led her to her life work.

From India, Shar did volunteer work all over the world.  She raised millions of dollars.

She organized gigantic events, supervised up to 1000 people at a time (volunteers and paid workers.)  She then wrote her first book, To Lead is to Serve, became a keynote speaker, and once again was traveling around the world to speak.

Her company, Joy of Leadership, teaches what she learned about fundraising and leadership based on yogic principles.
