Six weeks ago an order arrived for 5 books and CD’s. I forgot to fill the order. Then yesterday, the customer sent an email asking about her order. I wanted to make up an excuse. Instead, I just told her the truth. I sent the books and added an extra CD for my negligence. Her response: “I have found that all businesses (and people) make mistakes – but the thing that separates the extraordinary from the ordinary is how the really good businesses deal with the problem and give that little ‘extra’. You just gave the ‘extra’. Thanks so much." Kelly Koselek, Bosley Real Estate, Toronto Just as a flame depends on fuel, when words are based on Truth, they have power. That power can turn a bad situation to your favor. – Shar McBee
